Look What I Took Credit for Finding! aka The video thread

Post by borgcrazy »

Discovered this gem of a channel on YouTube. It's a guy, Vega, who records himself playing games and makes witty commentary while doing so.
Thus far, I've only seen his Silent Hill 1 playlist, but it was so amusing that I'm gonna put in the time to watch his other games. Part of what made SH so entertaining, I think, is that he played it "blind", meaning it was his first ever playthrough and he didn't use any kind of guide. Did pretty good, too, considering.

Got to watch this at home later - darn work have blocked YouTube....! :o
Dr. Allison Reed: It's over, it's over. You did great! Do you need anything? Can we get you anything?
Harry Block: Ice cream... I'd like an ice cream please.
Dr. Allison Reed: Okay, what flavor?
Harry Block: It doesn't matter. It's for my ass.

If you like Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy (and unless you're a die-hard Tolkien book purist, you should...), you're gonna like what I found over at DailyMotion.
Born of Hope is a fan-made movie from the UK that expands on the story of the Dunedain's struggle against the forces of Sauron, specifically, the events surrounding the birth of Aragorn. Very well made, and very engrossing. There were times when I had to stop and remind myself that this wasn't made by Jackson and WETA! Just a warning, it's about 70 minutes long.

This clip was released to promote Videogames LIve's PBS special and DVD/Blu-ray release. 720p, and one of my favorite, favorite songs.

Definately a must for any Civilizations 4 fans!

Brent Spiner did many classics including, but not limited to '...It is green..'

other characters contributed well - one example

When the ship is struck by lightning, the crew must conserve power to avoid being destroyed. Stewart and Zalian take the unheard-of step of flying the ship manually; Karen resorts to trickery to keep Michael, Tina and A.R.T. from using power; Kent loving nurses a lightning-addled Natasha back to health.
