Tellarite engineer and [[Tantalus V]] patient enlisted by [[Zero]] and [[Rebecca Singer]] to assist in their escape and revenge plan.  Gruver believed he was a children's holoshow host, but, beyond that, he was one of the best engineers in the quadrant.  Gruver, flying the stolen [[USS Defiant]], attacked the [[USS Secondprize]] while [[Rebecca Singer]] was on 20th century Earth.
