Named after a river in the western U.S., the Washita was assigned to the [[USS Aerostar]]. The Washita's life was short-lived. She was used for Ensign Fresca's piloting lessons in early [[2374]] ("[[Penguin Dreams and Stranger Things]]" [VEX]), then a few months later was blown to pieces by a Federation starship under [[Maloxian]] control, with Hartley, [[Mirk]], and Ford aboard ("[[The Salad of Vengeance Pt. 2]]" [VEX]).
