	Ensign [[Andrea Carr]] is sent to pick up [[Admiral Cooper]], who is scheduled to take an inspection tour of the [[USS Secondprize]]. As soon as Cooper is aboard the Shuttlecraft [[Consolationprize]], he demands coffee. Carr serves him Bonialia ~~blossom~~ coffee, which she picks because she likes the sound of the name. He loves the coffee, but unfortunately it's poisonous to humans. Cooper immediately collapses, and if he doesn't get medical attention in three hours, he will die. Carr is forced to cut through the territory of the [[Audrianis]], a species that tends to shoot at unwelcome guests. Sure enough, Carr ends up under fire. In desperation, she threatens to hit the Audrianis ship with a ~~bonialia blaster~~ and has the computer create a power surge to simulate the so-called weapon. The Audrianis ship breaks off, and Carr is able to get Admiral Cooper back to the Secondprize in time. Carr is certain that her career is over, but instead Captain [[Alexander Rydell]] offers her the post of the ship's Operations Officer.
