While Rydell pursued the Next Federation fleet, Wyndham needed Dallas and her partner, Agent [[Batyn]] to rescue his niece, [[Helen Knight]], who had infiltrated the Next Federation and was passing information to her uncle. After seeing to the safety of Knight, Wyndham contacted [[Admiral Cooper]], who brought in several Starfleet vessels to force the surrender of the Next Federation fleet.
