	Captain [[Alexander Rydell]], Lieutenant Commander [[Patricia Hawkins]], Representative Byan Sel, and his bodyguard, [[Mookow]] beam down to [[Ugilious]] for the Federation Membership Ceremony festivities. Once there, Rydell meets up with the [[Grand Leech]] of the [[Joegonots]] and Admiral [[Thomas Wagner]], who informs Rydell that other officers from the Secondprize are to attend festivities in other parts of the planet. Commander [[Travis Dillon]], Lieutenant Commander [[Emily Sullivan]], and Counselor [[Claire Webber]] take the shuttlecraft [[Doorprize]] II to a rural area of the planet for said party. 			As the official ceremony gets underway in one ballroom (complete with a Joegonot youth orchestra performing the greatest hits of Prince), Hawkins and Mookow get better acquainted in a nearby ballroom reserved for the supernumeraries of the attending VIPs. Dillon, Sullivan, and Webber try speaking to the crowd at their ceremony, but they're like rock stars to the Joegonots, who want nothing more than to get close to the Starfleet Officers. Things get a bit out of hand, and the Secondprize crewmembers are forced to flee back to the shuttle and takeover. Before they get very far, some kind of device attaches itself to the shuttle's hull and shorts out the power systems. The shuttle crashes, and the Secondprize officers are confronted by several armed figures. In orbit, the Secondprize itself detects a massive ship decloaking. And the ballroom where Rydell and the other VIPs are is invaded by a group of armed, old-style, pre-Transference Ray, scary as hell Joegonots.
