	Pratello Maddox was the Captain of the USS Carpathia. He was formerly Chief of Operations on the [[USS Abu Simbel]] and Captain [[Reginald Bain]]’s first officer on the [[USS Maladventure]]. He is a Bewhal with orange scales. As is common for Bewhals, Maddox changed genders from male to female a few years before Bain took command of the [[USS Anomaly]]. Maddox is aware that [[Rosalyn Bain]] is in Section 31 and at her urging tried to convince Bain to send Commander [[Prosak]] to infiltrate the Vulcan Alliance.
