While out on a survey mission, the runabout carrying Commander [[Lisa Beck]] and Lieutenant [[Craig Porter]] is attacked by a [[Multeks|Multek]] ship. The runabout is disabled, but Beck is able to bring it in for a landing on an unoccupied world. Before she and Porter can get very far, they are beamed onto the Multek ship. The ship's owner, [[Pophlie]], is astounded at how real the obviously-hallucinatory aliens seem. Despite being sure that Beck and Porter are imaginary, Pophlie imprisons them on her ship and heads off to her destination, another Multek world where she plans to display them as part of a sideshow. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Commander [[Walter Morales]], Lieutenant [[Sean Russell]], and Dr. [[Amedon Nelson]] find the crashed runabout and begin tracking Pophlie's ship. Summary
