A Beta Quadrant species with ten leg flagella, eight arm flagella, and telepathic abilities.  A D'Ceti exploratory ship was attacked by the [[Multeks]] and crashed on a Class M world, where it was later found by [[Sean Russell]], [[Craig Porter]], and [[Martin Lazlo]].  Believing that the [[Waystation]] officers were hostile, the D'Ceti used their psychic abilities to turn the officers against each other.  After they learned the humans were friendly, they went to Waystation and made official contact with the Federation.  (''[[The Way We Were]]'' [WAY])
