While out on a survey mission, the [[USS Wayward]] detects a small shuttle that is being pursed by a larger craftThe shuttle pilot begs the Wayward crew for help, saying that the larger ship is out to get his shuttle.  The larger ship's occupants identify themselves as [[Collectors]] and state that the shuttle is theirs because it is of Falinor.  They have assessed the planet Falinor, collected what was of value to them, and are liquidating the rest.  They invite the Wayward crew to come to Falinor because there are wonderful deals to be had there.  The Wayward runs the Collectors off, and the crew agrees to go to Falinor to see if they can help.    They find that the planet is swarming with ships there for the sale.  While Colonel [[Martin Lazlo]] takes the shuttle pilot to the surface to size up the situation, Commander [[Walter Morales]] goes to see the Falinoran Prime Minister.  While Morales doesn't learn anything of use, Lazlo discovers that the Collectors' ground troops are actually mind-controlled aliens who are being used against their well.  The mind control devices are inside the black helmets that all Collectors wear.  Porter concludes that the helmets could be disrupted with an electromagnetic pulse and sets to work modifying the Wayward's deflector dish as Lazlo leads a team of marines onto the Collectors' mothershipFive smaller Collector ships go after the Wayward while Lazlo sets of an EM pulse device inside the mothership, freeing several collected individuals.  Lazlo's team pursues the Chief Assessor, who is actually a Collector, to the mothership's bridge, and the Wayward is able to use an EM pulse fired from the deflector ship to de-collect the pilots pursuing them.    The Chief Assessor agrees to leave FalinorHe and his 40 actual Collectors depart in their mothership, leaving behind 700 de-collected aliens from various worlds.
