Natalia Kasyov was a neuroscientist assigned to the USS Anomaly as the ship’s science officer.
She and Lieutenant Shelly Marsden both attended Federation Magnet High School as teenagers, where they became friends.
Prior to serving on the Anomaly, Kasyov worked at the Neptune Research Station, where she had a number of brains that she looked after and studied. After Cabral commandeered the Anomaly, Kasyov was sent aboard to communicate with him, due to her expertise with disembodied brains.
