After the [[Emergency Diplomatic Hologram]], which looked like James T. Kirk, took over the Anomaly and incapacitated most of the crew, Lieutenant Commander Tovar activated Steve! because he was trapped inside a transparent tube in sickbay. Steve! freed Tovar and told him that the only way to stop the Kirk hologram was to remove the primary holographic junction on Deck 27. At the junction, Kirk attacked Tovar, but Steve! distracted him with a song and dance. After a second song, Kirk attacked Steve!, giving Tovar an opening to place an explosive on the primary holographic junction. The resulting explosion disabled both the Kirk hologram and Steve! | |||
