D'Ceti

A Beta Quadrant species with ten leg flagella, eight arm flagella, and telepathic abilities. A D'Ceti exploratory ship was attacked by the Multeks and crashed on a Class M world, where it was later found by Sean Russell, Craig Porter, and Martin Lazlo. Believing that the Waystation officers were hostile, the D'Ceti used their psychic abilities to control Lazlo and have him try to kill Porter and Russell. After they learned the humans were friendly, they went to Waystation and made official contact with the Federation. (The Way We Were [WAY])
