Kathryn Janeway

Former captain of the USS Voyager, which was lost in the Delta Quadrant for seven years. After the ship returned to Earth, Janeway was promoted to admiral, where she provided loads of helpful exposition to captains across Starfleet. Faced with the need to find a suitable candidate to oppose Federation President Bradley Dillon, Fleet Admiral Nosira Ra'al and the Republicrat party convinced Janeway to leave Starfleet and run for office. 120 years after Voyager's return from the Delta Quadrant, the area of that quadrant through which it passed is still known as the "Janeway Expanse" and most species residing there still refuse to have anything to do with Starfleet or the Federation.
