Future version of a runabout-type craft. Admiral Beck used a raceabout to pick up Alexander Rydell during the Forever incident. (Please Hold For Oblivion [TRK]). They are still in use in the 26th century, a number being assigned to the S.S. Hansean (United Colours of Cardassia [IV]). Admiral Thomas Wagner took a prototype raceabout to retrieve Andrew Baxter and Kelly Peterman from Travis Dillon's holodeck asteroid on Stardate 58320.
