A crash landing leaves Commander Travis Dillon stranded on an uncharted world while the USS Secondprize heads off to Waystation to celebrate Christmas. Very quickly, Dillon realizes loneliness is the least of his problems.
Summary
On the way back to the USS Secondprize from a meeting of the Starfleet Regulations Advisory Board, Commander Travis Dillon's runabout is caught in a temporal explosion and vanishes. While the Secondprize crew believes that he's been lost, Dillon has actually crash landed on an unpopulated world. It is, however, teeming with dangerous animals, as Dillon painfully learns. The Secondprize continues on to Waystation, where they are scheduled to have a layover for Christmas.
