Horison System

A star system located in the Matrian Sector, the Horison system was visted by the USS Silverado in You Can Say That Again!, [SLV]. Unfortunately, the Horison star was found to be less than 200 years away from a full supernova. In addition, the system was home to a pre-warp civilization with a population of over 4 billion. Even worse, a strange alien device was orbiting the planet. Silverado attempted to evacuate as many people as possible when the device detonated, releasing an unbelievable amount of energy. They actually tried this a few times, as the device had cased them to be trapped in one of those nifty time loops. Eventually, it was discovered that the energy pulse was not intended to destroy the planet, but to age the entire star system backward to prevent the civilization from being destroyed by the supernova. Once this was known, Silverado went on her way.
