When contact with a colony is lost, Colonel Martin Lazlo and his marines are sent in to investigate. Soon, Lazlo finds himself all alone with the lives of the colonists and his marines in his hands. Sucks to be them.
Summary
After Starfleet is unable to establish contact with the Asneris Colony despite the fact that the colony's communications array seems to be functioning normally, Colonel Martin Lazlo and his marines are sent in to check on the situation. The marines touch down in the center of the colony on a beautiful day. Everything looks fine except for the small detail that they can't find a single one of the colonists.
