Leelan Fonn

Leelan Fonn is an Efrosian Starfleet Admiral with a distinguished career. He has received numerous awards, honors, and medals. He served as Captain of the USS Forman for twenty years. After he was promoted to admiral, he commanded Starbase 689, near the Romulan Neutral Zone for seventeen years. During the Dominion War, Starbase 689 was attacked nine times by Jem'Hadar forces but never taken. At the age of 76, Admiral Fonn asked Fleet Admiral Nosira Ra'al to give him command of Waystation. She tried to dissuade him, but, as an admiral, he could pick his posting. Captain Lisa Beck was informed that Fonn was coming in to take over. When he arrived, though, he told her that he had absolutely no interest in running the station. He had had a long career, and he was tired. He just wanted to sit back and relax for the next three years until his retirement. Since the Multeks had opened up to the Federation, the Collectors had disbanded, and President Bradley Dillon was away on the USS Explorer, Waystation seemed like the perfect place to lay low.
