The plague! The plague! Is Dr. Fred Nooney the only hope for a disease-ravaged society? Are his worst enemies his own colleagues in the medical profession? It's going to take a heck of a lot more than an apple to keep Doctor Nooney away as you stare into "The Face of Things That Went."
Summary
The USS Anomaly is racing to Bechode Prime with a medical team that is being sent to try to stop a plague raving the planet. This plague is causing the Bechodians to lose the lines of bumps running up their nose and forehead. The victims now look like humans, Betazoids, and every other non-bumpy humanoid species in the galaxy, much to the panic of the Bechodian leader, High Manager Guanti.
Cabral is anxious to try his new hovercam off the ship and asks Dr. Natalia Kasyov to go down to Bechode Prime with him, so he can see the sights. She is not sure this is appropriate during a medical emergency but agrees after a bit of pleading from him.
