Steve!

Steve! was a hologram created by Dr. Fred Nooney to help keep the crew of the USS Anomaly entertained during the journey from the Milky Way to the Andromeda Galaxy. He wore a loud orange suit with a purple dress shirt and a yellow tie speckled with blinking red and blue lights. (Do You Have Anything To Declare? [BG])

After the Emergency Diplomatic Hologram, which looked like James T. Kirk, took over the Anomaly and incapacitated most of the crew, Lieutenant Commander Tovar activated Steve! because he was trapped inside a transparent tube in sickbay. Steve! freed Tovar and told him that the only way to stop the Kirk hologram was to remove the primary holographic junction on Deck 27. At the junction, Kirk attacked Tovar, but Steve! distracted him with a song and dance. After a second song, Kirk attacked Steve!, giving Tovar an opening to place an explosive on the primary holographic junction. The resulting explosion disabled both the Kirk hologram and Steve! Steve! was briefly reactivated, much to Nooney's delight, after the ship's holographic systems were repaired. Tovar destroyed them again to stop a malfunctioning hologram of himself from bringing back the Kirk hologram. This shut Steve! back down. (Privileges Of Membership [BG])

The holographic system was later repaired again the, but when the Anomaly was attacked by the Section 31 ship Sloan, which had been taken over by the James T. Kirk hologram, the Kirk hologram sent a signal into the Anomaly that took over Steve! and used him attempt to kill the bridge crew. Dr. Natalia Kasyov was forced to use an electromagnetic pulse, which took out the bridge systems and Admiral Kristen Larkin, to shut down Steve! (Illusions Of Grandeur - Part One [BG])
