If this was your own timeline, you’d have multiple means of making the trip back in time at your disposal. The fact that you don’t in this timeline is the only reason that you’re here.

“Admiral,” you said, interrupting Larkin, “I’m sorry, but I really don’t know how much time I have before my protection from this timeline wears off. Can you help me or not?”

“As long as you promise that stopping the supernova from occurring is the only change you will make in the past, I will try to help you.”

“You have my word,” you say.
