Hermes Project

The Hermes Project was an effort to create a ship powered by an anti-singularity drive, which combined Federation matter/antimatter technology with a Romulan singularity engine system. Lieutenant Shelly Marsden led the project and oversaw the self-destruction of six failed prototype ships. For the Hermes-7 Marsden used a bit of unidentified alien technology that successfully controlled the drive reaction and drew the attention of Cabral. (If I Only Had a Brain [BG])
