Jean-luc Picard

Legendary captain of the USS Enterprise. During a brief stint as an admiral after the crash of the Enterprise-D, Jean-luc Picard headed up the Federation Council inquiry into the destruction of the Transference Ray and the inquest into Captain Alexander Rydell's actions on Ugilious. (Star Traks 2, Star Traks 3 [TRK]) He was also responsible for briefly promoting Travis Dillon to captain, assigning him to the USS Edsel, and sending him to investigate the archaeological find made on Gulax IV. ("Star Traks 3" [TRK]) Shortly after these events, Picard decided that he had had quite enough of dealing with the headaches of being an admiral and returned to command the Enterprise-E.

Picard later travelled to Waystation to accept a medal of honor from the United Federation of Planets, which was to be presented by Federation President Bradley Dillon. The ceremony was interrupted by Tarmak, who wanted revenge on Bradley and Picard for past humiliations. Captain Lisa Beck and her crew were able to stop Tarmak, but not before Picard was forced to strip down to his underwear in front of a Federation-wide audience watching on holovision. In the Happy Universe, Picard's alternate self plotted to take over the Federation of Fun by replacing Dillon as Happymaster. ("Worlds Apart" [VEX]) Captain Jad Vorezze is deluded enough to believe that he has the commanding capacities to replace Captain Picard on the bridge of the Enterprise. ("Resistance is Futile, Part I" [BAN]).
