Television show Circa 20th Century Earth in which common scientific (and often stupidly dumb) methods are undertaken to refute or confirm the facts behind ordinary common-garden "Old Wives Tales". Cast members routinely utilise the services of Buster, a crash test dummy, when faced with Myths which could contain the potential for harm to cast memebers (Painful, embarrassing, or just downright stupid).

Watched in secret by a member of the crew of the USS Devonshire, a parallel has been suggested between the role of Buster and that of Redshirts within the Starfleet.
