Nexus Ribbon

A huge band of energy that travels the galaxy looking for trouble. It swept up James T. Kirk and some El Aurians during the launch of the USS Enterprise-B, came back to cause trouble with the crew of the Enterprise-D in 2371, and swept up Commander David Conway, Captain Andy Baxter and others in 2374.
