Red Borg

The Red Borg was one of the Borg groups created after the Great Factioning. This Collectives decided that the route to perfection was to violently eliminate every species that wasn't Borg. A Red Borg sphere attempted to destroy the USS Anomaly when the Anomaly was sent to the Delta Quadrant to determine why Starfleet lost contact with LAP/TOP 64. The sphere smashed its way through a White Borg cube while trying to get to the Anomaly, and then Captain Reginald Bain was able to trick it into flying into a sun, where it was destroyed. The Dillon Consortium attacked the Green Borg with a virus generated from a cube from before the Great Factioning that had been abandoned over a planet in Red Borg space that left their drones involuntarily giving sales pitches for Consortium products. The Manager was forced to close the Collective of Bargains and commed Starfleet requesting Reginald Bain's help. The crew of the USS Anomaly was able to find the source of the virus and destroy it, but this attracted the attention of three Red Borg ships. They attacked the Anomaly, sending it crashing to the planet below. (Hard Sell [BG])
