When Brendan was a high-school student…many years ago…he absolutely hated writing. But apparently it’s one of those things where it sucked when he’s forced to do it, but sort of fun when he decided to do it on his own!
Originally from a farm in rural Manitoba (the part of Canada that really DOES get cold in the winter), Brendan did what many rural Canadian kids do: get a minimal education and get his ass to the big city. In this case, he moved to Toronto where he settled into a job training new employees at a tech support center. That lasted roughly until his quarter-century life crisis, when he left Toronto, went back to school and joined the army.
It was about two years after Brendan started reading Traks that he thought he’d try writing his own story. The big surprise was that he actually finished one…then two stories…then three. Next thing he knew, Star Traks: Silverado was a series! In addition to writing Silverado, Brendan learned to use 3D modeling software like 3DS Max and Blender to model Silverado, Waystation, Haven and the Roadrunner, as well as to modify existing models (where creator permissionis were given) to appear as the Secondprize, Aerostar and Explorer. Brendan has also written two Traks mini-series, Howlers and Crash Course, as well as the first season of Halway to Haven. Although real life has slowed down his writing output, Brendan continues to contribute to the Nexus with website redesign, ebooks and other technical assistance.
