SECTION 12
You decide that you need to find Audrey and fast. Based on the commotion upstairs, you assume she must have done something up on that level. You creep up the stairs you saw Spock and the other Vulcans climb a short time earlier, keeping a watchful eye out for any sign of your wayward daughter.
At the top of the stairs, you crouch down and check the display on the sleeve of your Section 31 uniform. There’s a cluster of Vulcans a short distance away in front of the supervisor’s office, but no sign of any human lifesigns.
You can hear the unmistakable voice of Spock, “I assure you that I am unharmed. I simply tripped on my robes. Yes, I am aware that I achieved an age that you would describe as advanced; however, that had nothing to do with the current situation. No, I do not require assistance standing back up.”
Spock almost sounds irritated.
You would find the whole thing amusing if the situation wasn’t so dire. But Audrey is still out there, and you need to find her.
At least that would be the plan if you didn’t just feel two strong fingers clamp down on your neck in the classic Vulcan nerve pinch. One must have come up behind you while you were paying attention to Spock. It was quite the stealthy maneuver.
You would be impressed if you weren’t unconscious.
By the time you come back to your senses, your tachyon protection has completely worn off leaving a very different and very confused Rosalyn behind. Why are you in a cell on Vulcan a century before your time? You’d better figure it out because there are a lot of upset people from the Starfleet of this era that would like a word with you.
