You select the coordinates for 45210.8 and engage the time drive. The shuttle lifts off of the deck of the docking bay, then everything around you becomes a tunnel of swirling color as the timeship takes you back to your chosen destination.

Your ship exits the time corridor right in the middle of a firefight. Before you can even get your bearings, you’ve been rocked multiple times by weapons’ fire. As everything sparks and smokes around you, you can see a bug-like craft fly past your front viewport. Is that a Jem’Hadar ship?

He’s got a lot of friends with him.

Oh wait. There are a bunch of old school Cardassian cruisers as well along with Starfleet, Klingon, Romulan, and Breen vessels. And they’re all doing a spectacular job of blasting the hell out of each other.

This is like watching an old holovid of the Dominion War, but so much worse because now you’re actually in the Dominion War in a defenseless ship that can probably survive about one more shot before you blow up.

You get shot one more time.

You blow up.
